Tampa residents will soon see three newly constructed luxury condominiums rising up within South Tampa’s Westshore Yacht Club.

Construction and pre-sales for the luxury condominium project AQUA are underway at the Westshore Yacht Club. Westshore Group LLC will oversee the development of three luxury residences, each standing 17 stories tall, under the guidance of the site’s construction manager, Eddie Avila. The first tower is scheduled for completion in 2025, followed by the second and third towers. Plans for the AQUA condo project began during the construction of the Westshore Yacht Club in the late 2000s.

“Westshore Yacht Club was a master planned development in 2007, and a premier condominium site pad was the finishing touch to the master plan,” said Bridget Cortes, realtor and broker associate at Smith & Associates Real Estate, in an interview with Tampa Bay Living Magazine. “To complete and complement this community, AQUA is the final inspiration of a thoughtful and private neighborhood intended to create a full service and gated home within South Tampa.”

The development will have over 200 residences including private villas, each with quartz countertops and a contemporary, modern aesthetic. Every residence has Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances, an open floor plan and unobstructed views of Tampa Bay at sunset.

According to Cortes, the condo designs will represent the vibrant energy and natural beauty found in Tampa Bay. This way, living spaces will be visually appealing and reflect Tampa’s coastal aesthetics.

“Tampa lifestyle is surrounded by water on the Gulf Coast, and we have incorporated direct Western views to capture its amazing beauty and sunset,” said Cortes. “Having the marina allows access to boating while having multiple pools within the condo and club continues the spirit of the water lifestyle. The name AQUA truly highlights what the community is all about, which is access to water through its views, location and amenities.”

Additionally, AQUA condominiums will offer a wide range of modern luxury amenities, including valet parking, two pools (including a rooftop pool on the 18th floor), a hot tub, a clubhouse, a media room, a children’s playroom, a golf simulator room, a spa with private treatment rooms, furnished guest suites, private offices for business meetings and a fitness center on the 17th floor.

Condo residents will have access to the Westshore Yacht Club community, the 149 slip Oasis Marina and the Bay Club, which has a spa, a restaurant, two pools and an event planning service.

Currently, reservations for Tower 1 (with 77 residences) are being accepted. Potential buyers can view presentations at the site’s sales gallery, followed by a community tour and private Bay Club tour. According to Cortes, for a limited time, a special incentive is offered on condos starting at $1.5 million. A penthouse on the site is expected to cost $5 million.

Previously an industrial boatyard, the Westshore Marina District is now a thriving mixed-use community within walking distance of the AQUA condominiums. Located on the Tampa side of the Gandy Bridge, this 52-acre waterfront development is one of the most significant projects reshaping the region. The district has been rapidly developing despite several months of construction delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Cortes, AQUA condominiums are expected to boost the property value of surrounding areas.

“AQUA is getting interest from affluent buyers from all over the United States who are willing to invest in premium real estate,” said Cortes. “This heightened activity will be a cascading effect on the broader real estate market in Tampa. AQUA will have a positive impact on the property values in the surrounding neighborhood. The presence of high-end amenities, design and construction quality will elevate the overall desirability of the area.”
