What types of content are we looking for?

Tampa Bay Living Magazine welcomes articles that offer a fresh take on the topics we cover:

  • Dining and nightlife

  • Arts and culture

  • Fashion and beauty

  • Health and wellness

  • Home and design

  • Travel and tourism

  • Weather

  • Current lifestyle news

Refer to our stories to get a feel of the coverage areas and angles we look for.

Freelance articles: We accept bylined freelance lifestyle news and feature articles. At this time, we do not pay for articles but will review submissions on a rolling basis for consideration. Your byline will be included for publication along with your bio and links to social accounts.

What are our writing requirements?

We accept 800 to 1,000 word original articles.

Use links in your text, particularly to substantiate reasoning, as references and to provide further reading. Avoid using footnotes.

Please refer to the AP Style Guidebook when writing and editing your article. We will edit all pieces for clarity and style to fit our audiences, so please keep that in mind as you’re drafting your piece. Our editors will send back the final edited piece before publication.

Please submit relevant photos and videos with your article. Only original photos and videos will be accepted and must be attributed to their source. We will not publish photos or videos without permission from the source. Please include them when submitting articles along with contacts/sources for attribution. All articles will be fact-checked.

Where should I send my article?

You can send completed pieces to editor@tampabaylivingmagazine.com or via our online form. Please copy and paste the article into the body of your email when sending. Attachments will not be accepted.

**For pieces that are more than 1,000 words, please pitch your idea to the editors first.

Where should I send my story pitches, press releases and other PR documents?
