Cocktail Lounge ‘Alter Ego’ to Open on Water Street in 2024

Alter Ego, a music-focused cocktail lounge, is set to open on Water Street in Tampa in 2024.
The lounge will be located at 1050 Water Street and will join other area establishments like Chill Bros. Ice Cream, Azure, BurgerFi and CAVA. Ferrell Alverez, the owner of Proper House Group, intends to create a distinctive design contrast to their adjacent concept, Ash. The lounge will offer a curated musical experience and a monochromatic design with intimate seating and social spaces.
“Alter Ego represents a distinct design contrast to our adjacent sibling concept, Ash. Boasting a curated musical experience alongside a monochromatic design that includes intimate seating as well as social spaces,” said Ferrell Alvarez, chef partner and co-owner of Proper House Group, in a statement.
Water Street Tampa was named one of Time's "World's Greatest Places" for 2023 and was awarded the Urban Land Institute's Americas Award for Excellence 2023 for its public-private partnership.
