Hyde Park Tree Lighting Ceremony to Raise Money for Sick Children

On Nov. 16, Hyde Park Village and Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida will host their 2023 "Holiday Happening" event. A portion of the donations will go to help sick children.

The event will feature live music, aerial and stilt performers, face painting, magical illusions and a chance to meet Santa. According to a news release, Hyde Park’s “Holiday Happening” event aims to remind people of the power of community, hope and kindness during the holiday season.

Restaurants and food trucks will sell seasonal drinks and snacks, while the open-air market will offer items from local stores. Guests will receive sweet gifts and a special service to grant wishes.

The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 16, with the tree lighting ceremony at 7 p.m. at Hyde Park Village, located at 1602 W Swann Ave. in Tampa.
