September 2 marks the 22nd Annual Geckofest, the largest festival in Gulfport honoring the Gecko, commonly found in Florida and the town.

This year's theme is “Around The World in 80 Geckos!” GeckoFest combines Gulfport's artistic energy with Mardi Gras' colorful flair. Blueberry Patch Stage will return along with the Forever Florida Stage.

Several street theater performances will be performed during 2023. Street theater performers stroll and perform stationary along Beach Blvd during Geckofest. Volunteers are invited to participate in magic tricks, stunts, or other wacky acts. At 6:00 p.m., the wacky walking parade is open to all attendees and local businesses.
