It's time to get into the Halloween mood, and what better way to do so than by visiting some of Tampa Bay’s haunted houses, events and attractions?

There are numerous spooktacular events taking place this Halloween season in the Tampa Bay area that will send shivers down your spine. This Halloween season has something for everyone, from large-scale amusement park events to tiny haunted houses and trails.

The Howl-O-Scream

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is resurrecting its iconic Halloween event, Howl-O-Scream. After hours, the entire park will be transformed with haunted houses, fear zones, dark displays and much more. Parkgoers will encounter eerie figures while going through the park and will also be able to enjoy rides.

Dates: From now to Oct. 31, 7 p.m. until the park shuts.

Price: Ticket prices range from $45 to $70, depending on the night. Tickets for unlimited admission range from $95 to $147.

The Undead in the Water

Visitors to Tampa's only true naval haunted attraction are invited to go over multiple decks of a historic WWII cargo ship armed with "nerves of steel and a will to survive."

Dates: Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Sept. 29 to Oct. 28.

Price: Ticket prices range from $22 to $29, depending on the night.

Where: 705 Channelside Drive, located behind the Florida Aquarium.

Beyond the Bayou: Field of Screams

St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation's Teen Arts, Sports and Cultural Opportunities Division is sponsoring the 16th annual Field of Screams. This event will transport attendees on a "deep dive into the heart of the swamps' past, where the whispers of rituals and spirits linger."

The strange nation, which has twisted gardens and murky rivers bordering it, welcomes visitors on a journey through it.

Dates: Oct. 27–29 and 31 from 7 p.m. to midnight

Price: Pre-sale tickets will be available for $10 on Oct. 2. Tickets are $15 on the day of the event.

Fearville

This October, Halloween aficionados are urged to endure this local event that brings out ghouls and maniacs after the sun goes down.

Set in a supposedly "peaceful farmland," those courageous enough to enter will encounter walk-around characters, picture chances, haunted houses, hayrides and much more.

Dates: Oct. 12–14, Oct. 20–21, Oct. 27–28, and Oct. 31 from 6–10 p.m.

Price: Depending on the night, tickets range from $27 to $35.

The Tunnel of Terror

Do you know what a haunted car wash is? You have it now! Tommy's Express promises to "make you scream for the cleaner" during their Tunnel of Terror car wash event.

Dates: Oct. 27–28, 7–10 p.m. (the haunted automobile will also be cleaned at the Spring Hill location on Oct. 20–21).

Price: Car washes cost between $20 and $25.

Where: North Port, Pinellas Park, Spring Hill, Sarasota, Kissimmee, Port St. Lucie, Fort Walton Beach and Melbourne are among the locations.

Sir Henry's Haunted Path

This Plant City outdoor haunted path opened in 2014 as a Halloween haunt. Visitors may expect interactive horror trails, escape games, laser tag and a new haunted hayride.

Dates: Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between Sept. 29 and Nov. 4.

Price: Ticket prices begin at $27.

Where: Plant City, FL 335662, 2837 South Frontage Road

The Scream-A-Geddon

According to the attraction's website, this haunted house attraction with zombies, demons and scary clowns is one of the largest independent haunted house scream parks in the country.

Rage 3D, Ravehill Asylum, Bloodwater Bayou, Demon's Revenge, Zombie Paintball Assault, Monster Midway, and new this year to the roster of homes, Breach, await event-goers.

Dates: From now until Saturday, Nov. 4.

Price: Ticket prices range from $24 to $52, depending on the night.

Where: Dade City, FL 33525, is located at 27839 Saint Joe Rd.
